How We Select Our Fresh Christmas Trees

Our family has spent decades supplying Christmas trees, beginning with a local pitch in Luton and continuing through our delivery service today. We understand that customers want a tree that looks good when it arrives and remains in good condition throughout the festive season.

We work with British growers and select fresh-cut trees during December. Our aim is to keep the time between cutting and delivery as short as possible. Our team visits its chosen collection location regularly during the season, with trees typically delivered within approximately two days of being cut.

For customers choosing a real Christmas tree for the first time, our Tree Care Tips guide explains how to position and water your tree once it arrives.

Find the Right Type of Fresh Christmas Tree

The shape, foliage and fragrance of your Christmas tree can make a difference to how it looks in your room. We supply several varieties so you can choose according to your preferences and the space available.

Choosing a Fresh Christmas Tree That Fits Your Space

Before ordering, measure the space where your Christmas tree will stand. Check both the ceiling height and the available floor area, allowing room for the stand and any decoration you intend to place at the top.

Our Christmas tree heights are measured from the base of the trunk to the tip. Where a tree is sold within a size range, such as 6ft to 7ft, its height may fall anywhere within that range.

For smaller rooms, consider the Premium Nordmannn Fir 3ft-4ft or Premium Nordmannn Fir 4ft-5ft. Our Premium Nordmannn Fir 6ft-7ft and Premium Nordmannn Fir 7ft-8ft are options for rooms with more space. If you need a taller tree for a large entrance hall or commercial premises, see our Large Real Christmas Tree Delivery service.

What to Do When Your Fresh Christmas Tree Arrives

Choose a position away from radiators, fireplaces and other heat sources. For a cut tree, use a suitable water-holding stand and check the water level regularly. A tree can take up a considerable amount of water, particularly during its first few days indoors.

We offer Christmas Tree Stands in different sizes, including the Cinco 8 Tree Stand (up to 8ft) and Cinco 10 Tree Stand (8ft-10ft). Select a stand that is suitable for the height and trunk diameter of your chosen tree.

If you would like assistance with positioning, un-netting and securing your tree, ask our team about the available set-up service when ordering. We also offer Removal & Recycle after the festive season.
