We measure our Christmas trees from the base of the trunk to the tip. This is particularly important when choosing Norway Spruce because its leading tip can extend noticeably above the main body of branches.
For example, a Norway Spruce measuring 7ft overall might have approximately 6ft of branched tree beneath a 1ft tip. The proportions vary between individual trees, so the advertised height should not be interpreted as the height of the fully branched section alone.
Measure the Available Space Before Ordering
Check the total height available at your intended display position, along with the space needed for the branches and a suitable stand. If you want a particular height of branched foliage, bear in mind that the leading tip contributes to the tree's overall measurement.
