Fresh Christmas Trees in Cottenham, Rampton and Landbeach
There is something about a village at Christmas. Lights going up along Cottenham's long High Street, wreaths on cottage doors in Rampton, the first tree appearing in a front window in Landbeach. We are a family business ourselves, and we like delivering to places like these, where people notice whether a tree looks fresh.
Where Does a Cottenham Tree Come From?
Our trees are grown by trusted British farmers. They are cut late in the season, and throughout December our team goes to our growers every day to pick up fresh-cut trees. By the time a tree reaches a Cottenham doorstep, it can be as little as two days since it was cut. That is why the needles still feel soft and the scent fills the hallway when the netting comes off.
A neighbourly tip: if friends along your road are ordering too, mention it when you call. We will always try to plan village deliveries sensibly so the trees spend as little time on the road as possible.
What Makes a Village Delivery Different?
Village homes come in all shapes. Low cottage ceilings, narrow hallways, long gardens and brand-new homes on the edge of the village all ask for something slightly different. We bring the tree to the door, and with our tree preparation service we will place it, take the netting off and make sure it is standing securely.
How Do You Keep It Fresh Once It Is Home?
Stand the tree in water as soon as it arrives and top up the reservoir every day. Keep it a short distance from radiators and wood burners, which many village homes have. A stand with a good reservoir makes daily watering easy, and our Tree Care Tips cover everything else.
