Every December, a handful of our trees grow up a little differently. One side might be slightly flatter, the top might lean, or there might be a gap halfway up where a branch decided to go its own way. They are every bit as fresh as the rest, but they are not quite the picture-perfect shape most people imagine. Rather than leave them behind, we created The Unloved Tree 5ft- 7ft (please leave a note on preferred size).
What Is The Unloved Tree?
The Unloved Tree is a real Nordmann Fir between 5ft and 7ft tall, chosen from trees that have a few quirks in their shape. When you order, leave a note with the height you would prefer and we will pick one for you. It costs less than our Premium Nordmann Fir range, and it arrives with exactly the same soft needles and fresh scent.
Is It Any Less Fresh?
No. Freshness has nothing to do with shape. Every tree we sell is grown by trusted British farmers and cut late in the season, and throughout December our team collects fresh-cut trees every day. The Unloved Tree is collected and delivered in exactly the same way, usually reaching your door as little as two days after it was cut.

How Do You Make the Most of an Unloved Tree?
A few simple tricks turn a quirky tree into a lovely one.
- Turn the flatter side towards a wall or into a corner.
- Fill any gap with a larger bauble, a ribbon or a string of lights wrapped a little deeper into the branches.
- Hide the stand and tidy the base with a Willow Tree Ring.
- Add a personal touch with a Decoration family name or message.
How Do You Keep It Fresh?
Treat it exactly like any other fresh-cut tree. Stand it in a water-holding stand as soon as it arrives, such as the Traditional Green Metal Stand (up to 6ft) or the Cinco 8 Tree Stand (up to 8ft), and top up the water every day. We choose one for you based on the height you note when you order, picking a fresh tree with a shape that will still look good once decorated. If you have particular requirements, give us a call.
