Choosing a Tree That Works for Your Christmas Plans
Start with the space where your Christmas tree will stand. A tree for a smaller room needs enough clearance around its branches, while one intended for a spacious living room or business entrance may benefit from a taller size. Measuring before you order will help you narrow down your options.
Our Christmas tree heights are measured from the base of the trunk to the tip. A tree advertised within a range, such as 6ft to 7ft, may be anywhere within that range. Allow extra height for the stand and any decoration you intend to place at the top.
Nordmann Fir or Norway Spruce: Which Would You Prefer?
We source real Christmas trees from trusted British growers and offer varieties with different foliage, shapes and characteristics. Your choice may depend on whether you prefer soft needles, a traditional fragrance or a particular appearance.
Nordmann Fir for Soft Foliage
Nordmann Fir is known for its soft needles and good needle retention. Our Premium Nordmann Fir range focuses on carefully selected trees, while our Standard Nordmann Fir range provides a value-focused alternative. Both offer the characteristic foliage of the Nordmann Fir species.
Norway Spruce for a Traditional Christmas Tree Fragrance
If the natural scent of a real Christmas tree is an important part of your festive preparations, consider our Norway Spruce Tree range. Norway Spruce has a traditional appearance and distinctive fragrance. It benefits from a suitable water-holding stand, regular watering and a position away from direct heat.
You can compare all the available varieties and heights through All Christmas Trees before deciding which tree to order.
What Happens Between Choosing Your Tree and Delivery?
Once you have selected your tree, the next step is to confirm the practical details of your order. We collect fresh-cut stock regularly during the Christmas season and aim to keep the time between cutting and delivery as short as possible. Our trees typically reach customers within approximately two days of being cut.
- Select your preferred tree. Choose the variety and height that suits your home or business.
- Provide your delivery address. Include your full postcode in Ely, Chatteris, Sutton, Mepal, Littleport, Manea, Doddington, Wimblington, March, Little Downham or a nearby village.
- Confirm the delivery arrangements. Check available dates, any applicable delivery charge and any instructions our team may need to reach your property.
- Prepare your tree's position. Make sure there is enough space for the tree and an appropriate stand before it arrives.
If you require a particular delivery arrangement, please discuss it with our team before ordering rather than assuming that a specific date or time is available.
Practical Extras for Your Christmas Tree Order
Choosing the tree is only part of preparing your display. You will also need a suitable stand, a position away from direct heat and a plan for keeping a fresh-cut tree watered throughout the festive season.
Our Christmas Tree Stands selection includes water-holding stands for different tree heights. The Cinco 8 Tree Stand (up to 8ft) is one option for trees within its stated height and trunk-size requirements. Check the individual stand specifications before adding one to your order.
We can also discuss our tree preparation service if you would like help placing, un-netting and securing your tree. For advice on looking after it once it is indoors, read our Tree Care Tips.
When the festive season is over, our Recycle & Removal Service offers the option of arranging collection. Please confirm collection availability for your address and tree size when booking.
