How the Christmas Tree Collection Service Works
Book the Removal Service
You can book the service when available, either separately or as part of an eligible Christmas tree order.
Choose the Available Collection Arrangement
Select from the collection options offered for your postcode and order. Availability can vary by area and seasonal route.
Remove All Decorations
Before collection, take off lights, baubles, tinsel, hooks, ornaments and any other decorations so the tree is ready for recycling.
Leave the Tree Outside
Place the undecorated tree outside in the agreed accessible location ready for collection. You do not normally need to be home where unattended collection has been arranged.
We Collect It
Our team removes the tree and takes it away for appropriate recycling rather than leaving you to transport it to a disposal point yourself.
What Should I Remove Before Collection?
Your tree should be completely undecorated before we arrive.
- Remove Christmas lights.
- Remove baubles and hanging decorations.
- Remove tinsel and garlands.
- Remove hooks, wires and ornament ties.
- Remove the tree topper.
- Remove any other decorative materials attached to the branches.
What About the Christmas Tree Stand?
Unless your booking information specifically says otherwise, do not assume that a reusable Christmas Tree Stand is part of the recycling collection.
If you own a reusable stand, remove the tree from it before placing the tree outside and keep the stand for next Christmas.
Why Book a Christmas Tree Removal Service?
A real Christmas tree can be bulky, wet and difficult to fit into a normal car once the festive season is over. Collection removes the need to load it into your vehicle or organise separate transport yourself.
